What is an Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship is a job with training so you can “earn whilst you learn”. You will be employed as a member of staff with a company who will support you through your nationally recognised qualification. You will work towards either a Level 2 or Level 3 in the subject area you’ve chosen.

We offer Apprenticeships in:

• Business Administration
• Customer Service
• Early Years and Elderly Care
• Hospitality & Catering
• Team Leading

The Apprenticeship training programme also requires you to achieve Functional Skills (Level 1 or 2) in numeracy and literacy.


Why should I choose an Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship is a job with training. It’s the first step on the ladder to a career in the industry you’re wanting to progress into. The skills you gain are directly relevant to your job role allowing us to tailor your training to your own and your employers needs. Training is quite flexible and much is delivered in your workplace. Some attendance at KYP may be required, this will be discussed and agreed with your employer and your assessor.


Depending on your job role you should be able to move to the next level once you have completed your Apprenticeship. This may be Level 3 or onto a Foundation Degree if you want to continue learning, however this may also mean a role within the business which has more responsibility and therefore you may wish to take a new direction. Whatever you choose we will be around to support you if you need us.
