The Rochdale Diversity Awards are back – and this year, we’re turning up the spotlight on the incredible individuals and organisations that make our borough a beacon of inclusion, inspiration, and cultural pride! These awards honour the trailblazers who are unlocking potential, breaking down barriers, and driving positive change across our communities. From grassroots heroes to transformative leaders, we want to hear about the people and projects making a real difference.

The Judging Process

All nominations will be carefully reviewed by a diverse panel of judges who bring either lived experience from underrepresented communities in our borough or professional expertise in equality, diversity and inclusion. We’re seeking stories of real change, bold leadership, and inclusive innovation – the kind that inspires and uplifts. Our judges will be looking for standout individuals or organisations that have:

• Made a meaningful impact on the lives of people from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds, or
• Driven positive change in systems, services, or community outcomes.

Rules of entry:

1. You may nominate yourself, your group/organisation, or others – but please tailor each nomination to the specific award category (and not use the same form for multiple categories).

2. Nominees must be active within the Rochdale borough.

3. Previous winners (2024 or earlier) applying for the same category must show clear progress made in the past 12 months.
