Community

KYP is based in Central Rochdale ward and has delivered services to residents in one of the most deprived neighbourhoods for over 43 years, tackling the key causes of poverty, disadvantage and lack of opportunity prevalent within BAME communities. We are well placed as the largest, most experienced voluntary and community sector organisation in Rochdale to sensitively deal with the potential challenges and problems facing communities. 

We are dedicated to the development of individuals and the economic regeneration of our localities through education, enterprise, employment, or training to fulfil identified needs, through the following services:

  • ESOL, Life in the UK preparation, Citizenship/Integration training
  • Sector specific vocational qualifications
  • Functional skills in maths/English
  • Pre-school nursery
  • Job club / IT session
  • Welfare Advice service
  • Community food pantry
  • Elderly day care (separate men’s/women’s wellbeing sessions)
