We are delighted to announce the Rochdale Diversity Awards 2026, celebrating the individuals, organisations and partnerships making a real difference to equality, diversity and inclusion across Rochdale.
The Awards ceremony will take place in the Grand Hall at Rochdale Town Hall on Friday 23rd October 2026 – please save the date.
Building on the success of previous years, the Awards continue to shine a spotlight on those driving positive change within and across the borough—recognising excellence, sharing best practice, and inspiring others to take action.
What are the Rochdale Diversity Awards?
The Rochdale Diversity Awards are a flagship annual celebration of the outstanding work being delivered by individuals, employers and organisations to promote equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
The Awards highlight and promote good practice across the borough, encouraging organisations to place inclusion at the heart of their services, workforce and decision-making.
They play a key role in supporting system-wide change, helping to ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion are embedded in the design, delivery and transformation of local services.
Importantly, the Awards recognise diversity across all characteristics—including age, disability, gender, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation and socio-economic background—reflecting a commitment to fairness and opportunity for all.
A Unique Event in Greater Manchester
The Rochdale Diversity Awards are unique across Greater Manchester, with no other awards of this kind bringing together such a wide range of partners to celebrate and champion diversity and inclusion at this scale.
Each year, the event attracts over 300 attendees, including leaders from the public, private and voluntary sectors, making it one of the borough’s most prestigious civic occasions.
